Membership Application

The International Quilt Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of quilting as an art form, and the advancement of the state of the art throughout the world. The four founders—Jewel Patterson (1910-2002), Karey Patterson Bresenhan, Helen O'Bryant (1914-2005), and Nancy O'Bryant Puentes—established this organization in 1979 to provide dedicated quilt lovers the opportunity to work productively toward increasing the prestige, artistry, creativity, professionalism, and recognition of quilts.

IQA memberships are only available to individuals. We do not have provisions for a business or guild membership.

IQA memberships are $25 per year. You can purchase a membership in 1-year or 3-year increments.

Three additional membership options are available, which involve a larger tax deductible donation to IQA. The Donor level signifies a donation of $100 - $249, the Benefactor level signifies a donation of $250 - 499, and the Patron level signifies a donation of $500 or more. These three types of contributors receive a 1-year membership and recognition in the IQA Journal. Contributions received will help further IQA’s goals of encouraging achievement and education through programs, which include, but are not limited to, grants and judged shows of members’ work.

September 30, 2016 is the last day to purchase a membership and receive your card before Quilt Festival/Houston. After this date, you will need to purchase a membership at the show. This is also the last date to request a duplicate membership card before the show. Membership purchases on this website will resume on November 11, 2016.

Entering the IQA Judged Show

If you are joining/renewing to enter the Judged Show, do not wait for your membership number. Just follow the directions in the first three fields of the entry form.

Purchasing Membership for another Person

If you are purchasing a membership for a friend or family member, you can complete the form with their contact information and pay with your credit card or PayPal account.
